| The Office of Accountability Reporting collects and reports school, district and state level data on performance standards and other variables in order to identify the strengths and weaknesses in the public school system in the state. To meet the increasing demand for accountability in education, the office seeks to provide clear, comparable information through the annual publication of the Mississippi Report Card and the Superintendent's Annual Report to the Legislature. The office also works in conjunction with the Office of Program Monitoring in performing assessments of federal and state education programs, as well as conducting special projects and reviews of educational issues. |
