MISSISSIPPI REPORT CARDS

The links under the MISSISSIPPI REPORT CARDS heading will direct you to separate web pages where these annual publications can be accessed. Beginning with the 2001/2002 school year, the term "Mississippi Report Card" was used to reference two different publications:

(1) The original versions of the Mississippi Report Card that were printed and distributed each year in compliance with state statutes. The first Report Card was published in 1993 and covered the 1992/1993 school year. The report cards for school years 1997/1998 through 2000/2001 are available in PDF (electronic) format on pages accessed using the corresponding links.

(2) Beginning with the 2001/2002 school year, Mississippi had to report certain information from that year much earlier as required by the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB). The law required that disaggregated test data, information on teacher quality, and Title I school improvement status be reported around the beginning of the 2002/2003 school year. Since some of the information published in the original version of the Mississippi Report Card (e.g., financial information) is not available until late in the fall, the Mississippi Report Card was published in two formats at different times. The Mississippi Report Card (Part A: NCLB) was posted electronically in mid September each year and the Mississippi Report Card (Part B) was published electronically during the following spring or summer. The Part B Report Cards for 2001/2002 and 2003/2003 were also printed. The 2003/2004 Part B Report Card is available only in electronic format.

Note: Beginning with the 2004/2005 school year, Mississippi Report Card (Part A: NCLB) will be part of the Mississippi Assessment and Accountability Reporting System (MAARS). The format and release schedule for the Mississippi Report Card (Part B) may also change. Information will be provided on this site when available.
